Resnik

The Resnick Sustainability Center (RSC) is an 80,000 SF research facility designed to advance sustainability research at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). With a contract value of $133 million, the project is being developed by Hensel Phelps for Caltech.

The center houses four specialized research areas focused on ecology, solar science, remote sensing, and translational science, promoting collaboration across disciplines. Incorporating cutting-edge sustainable technologies, including a high-performance exterior envelope, solar shading fins, and a mass timber frame, the RSC is pursuing LEED Platinum certification to further Caltech’s commitment to sustainability.
